UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following
O R D E R
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as also the learned counsel for the respondent-State of Uttar Pradesh. Having noted that as against the life sentence imposed by the Trial Court 2 on 03.11.2018, the petitioner in all has undergone about five years incarceration and in any event, the High Court, at the first instance had directed that the appeal would be listed for hearing, we see no reason to interfere with the matter at this stage. However, if the appeal is not heard within a reasonable time, the petitioner would have the liberty of filing an appropriate application before the High Court seeking for suspension of sentence and bail after a period of one year from this day.
Petition is accordingly, disposed of.
Pending application(s), if any, shall stand disposed of.
