UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following
O R D E R
The petitioner, by way of present special leave petition has preferred a prayer for anticipatory bail.
Learned counsel for the respondent-State has vehemently 2 opposed this prayer.
Taking into consideration the fact that the petitioner has been granted interim protection by this Court on20.05.2022, that is almost 8 months and the counter affidavit, itself, reveals that the petitioner has joined the investigation and cooperating with the investigation, we are inclined to confirm the interim protection granted by this
Court on 20.05.2022. In the event of arrest, the petitioner be released on bail in connection with FIR No. 23 of 2022 registered at
Police Station Moonak, District Sangrur, Punjab, subject to his executing bail bonds for a sum of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five only) with two sureties in the like amount.
The special leave petition is, accordingly, disposed of.
Pending application(s), if any, shall stand disposed of.
