UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following
O R D E R
1 By the impugned order dated 3 December 2021 in CRLOP No 14134 of 2021, the petitioner was denied anticipatory bail under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1973 by a Single Judge of the High Court of Judicature at Madras in connection with Case Crime No 199 of 2021 at Police Station Yercaud, District Salem, Tamil Nadu for alleged offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 420 and 506(i) of the Indian Penal Code 1860. 2
2 On 23 September 2021, this Court, while issuing notice stayed the arrest of the petitioner in connection with the above FIR.
3 Having heard Mr K Krishna Kumar, counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr V. Krishnamurthy, Additional Advocate General appearing on behalf of the State of Tamil Nadu, we confirm the interim order dated 23 September 2021 subject to the condition that the petitioner shall, within a period of four weeks, execute a bond to secure his presence at the trial subject to the satisfaction of the trial Judge with one or two sureties, as may be directed.
4 The Special Leave Petition is accordingly disposed of.
5 Pending application, if any, stands disposed of.
