UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following
O R D E R
1. The Court is convened through Video Conferencing.
2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners as also learned counsel for the respondent State.
3. The prayer in this petition is to release the petitioners on regular bail in FIR No.11/2021, registered at Police Station CEN, Kalaburagi under Sections 20(B)(ii)(b) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. The allegation against the petitioners is that 8 kg. conscious possession. It is an intermediate quantity. The of Ganja was recovered from their petitioners were arrested on 26.08.2021 and are in custody for more than one year. Though the trial has commenced but its conclusion is likely to take some time. 2
4. Taking into consideration all these factors but without expressing any views on the merits of the case, the petitioners are directed to be released on bail subject to their furnishing bail bonds to the satisfaction of the Trial Court.
5. The Special Leave Petition stands disposed of accordingly.
6. As a result, pending interlocutory application also stands disposed of.
