UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following
O R D E R
1 The petitioner has been implicated in FIR No 6 of 2023 dated 5 September
2023 registered at Police Station Vigilance Establishment Section Nainital
Haldwani for alleged offences punishable under Sections 7 and 13 of the
Prevention of Corruption Act 1988.

2 The petitioner is in custody since 6 September 2023. The charge-sheet has
been filed. About twenty witnesses have been cited.
3 Notice was issued by this Court on 20 February 2024. The Office Report
indicates that service of notice is complete.
4 No purpose would be served in the continued custody of the petitioner. There
is no likelihood of an early conclusion of the trial.
5 In the circumstances, we order and direct that the petitioner shall be
released on bail, subject to such terms and conditions as may be imposed by
the Sessions Court in connection with FIR No 6 of 2023.
6 The Special Leave Petition is accordingly disposed of.
7 Pending applications, if any, stand disposed of.
