UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following
O R D E R
1. The prayer in this petition is to release the petitioner on regular bail in connection with the T.R. Case No. 206 of 2022 arising out of Special Task Force P.S. Case No.06 of 2022 for the offence punishable under Sections 20(b)(ii)(C)/29 of the NDPS Act, 1985.
2. In view of the fact that the High Court has, vide its impugned order dated 08 th December, 2023, directed the Court concerned to conclude the pending trial within four months with a further liberty to the petitioner to revive his prayer for bail in case the trial is not concluded within four months, we are not inclined to entertain this special leave petition.
3. The special leave petition is accordingly dismissed.
4. However, the petitioner shall be at liberty to avail the
benefit as extended by the High Court.
5. Pending application(s), if any, shall stand disposed of.
