UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following
O R D E R
We are not inclined to grant bail at this stage. We however, request the High Court of Madhya Pradesh to decide the pending appeal which is of the year 2012 at an early date considering that the petitioner has already undergone 16 years in custody. It goes without saying that the petitioner will extend all co-operation in the hearing of the appeal.
If the appeal is not disposed of within the period of one year for no reasons attributable to the petitioner, the petitioner would be at liberty to apply for revival of the bail prayer. The special leave petition is dismissed.
Pending application(s), if any, shall stand disposed of.
