UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following
O R D E R
Heard learned counsel for the respective parties.
The petitioner is charged for the offence(s) punishable under
Section 22(C)/29 of the NDPS Act, 1985. The petitioner was arrested on 27.12.2021. We note the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner that charge-sheet has already been filed and there is no likelihood of the trial being taken up and completed within a
short period of time.
Considering the facts and circumstances, we are inclined to grant bail. The petitioner is directed to be released on bail in connection with FIR No. 1470 of 2021 dt. 20.12.2021 registered at Police Station Berhampore District Murshidabad to the satisfaction of the Trial Court.
The special leave petition is, accordingly, disposed of.
Pending application(s), if any, shall stand disposed of.
