Mumbai, Maharashtra – May 20, 2022 – The Sessions Court for Greater Bombay has granted bail to Jamil Sikandar Mulla, accused of receiving stolen railway property. Additional Sessions Judge R.M. Sadrani (C.R. No. 37) allowed Bail Application No. 827 of 2022, related to C.R. No. 4 of 2022 registered with the Railway Protection Force (RPF), Andheri Post, Mumbai.
Jamil Sikandar Mulla, 34, was arrested and charged under Section 3 of the Railway Property (Unlawful Possession) Act.
Case Background:
On April 6, 2022, approximately 52 kilograms of Chair Arms Rest, valued at ₹1,200, were stolen from railway property. Three individuals were arrested based on CCTV footage, and they implicated Mulla, stating that they had sold the stolen property to him. Mulla was subsequently arrested as the receiver of the stolen goods.
