Heard Ld. Adv. Mr. Vaishampayan for the applicants and Ld. APP Smt.Sulabha Sangle for the State. Even P.I. Ranjit Nalawade is present. The Panchavati police station has filed report praying that application be rejected.

2.In ground No.2 of the say filed by Panchavati police station, it is categorically mentioned that the application filed by Vamanrao Lokhande is taken as filed and there is no offence registered against the applicants.

3.It is settled principal of law that FIR is not pre­condition for preferring anticipatory bail. However, in the instant case, the police after making inquiry into the application filed by Vamanrao Lokhande, has not registered FIR against the applicants. Thus, it can be gathered that there is no reasonable apprehension of arrest at the hands of police in connection with application filed by Vamanrao Lokhande. Other than this, the bail application is not supported by any affidavit. Blanket relief in form of anticipatory bail cannot be granted. Hence, following order is passed :

The application stands rejected.
