The accused and his associates have allegedly intercepted
the informant and his friends who were having strolls after dinner in
Juhu Koliwada at about 01:15 a.m. on 10/4/2022. Suddenly four
persons came running from behind and started beating their one friend
namely Yash and abusing and threatening to implicate them in a drug

case they demanded Rs. 10,000/­ from them. They also threatened to
drown them in the sea. When the informant and his friends begged to
spare them they started beating them. They also forcibly removed
Rs.600/­ from the pocket of the informant. In the meantime, the
patrolling police van came there. The accused then started fleeing away.
However, the police managed to nab one of them, that is the present
accused.

The incident has occurred on 10/4/2022. The accused has
been caught on the spot. His associates are still eluding arrest and their
identification by the informant and his friends is required. The amount
belonging to the informant was recovered from the present accused.
The offence is quite serious and the investigation is still at an initial
stage.

Release of the present accused is bound to hamper further
investigation and in particular nabbing of his associates. In such
circumstances the accused is not entitled for bail as of now. Hence the
order :­
